In 1985, at stalingrad wasteland, he formed his first crew the TRP “the renegade painters”.Soon San started tagging on train lines, spreading his unique letter styleAt the same time, he painted in abandoned spaces to develop his technique and have fun exploring different graffiti styles: wild style, free style, characters, comics...

In 1988, his numbered “S” throw up, got him recognition in Paris and led to him joining the 93MC crew – perhaps the biggest crew in Paris at this time.SAN creates and imagine new letters and graffiti characters constantlyFeatured in “Paris Tonkar” in 1991, the now legendary first parisian graffiti book , SAN and BOXER are described as tag legends.

From 1994 until today, he spaypaints the streets. He also does artistic performances (Grand Palais in Paris), art work for collectives, companies, media and public administarions. But mostly, it's through his prolific work on canvas that he realises his passion for painting.

He takes inspiration from graphic design, electronic music, tribal cultures and calligraphic gestures. He uses these influences In an attempt to transcribe his own view of the world around him.

Over the years SAN One has had work featured in a lot of auctions and exhibitions such as “Quick Sand” in 2008, organized in Holland by the old New-Yorker timer Quik or like in the Albatros in Paris in 2012 and 2013.
